Art Professor presents work in Durban, South Africa: Thomas Asmuth, Associate Professor of Digital Media, will be presenting a workshop and art installation at the 2018 International Symposium on Electronic Art (Wednesday, June 20 - Saturday, June 30).

The project, "Turbidity Paintings: Water Testing at the uMngeni River," is a study of the estuary which passes through the coastal city of Durban, South Africa.

This work is part of Asmuth's three-year investigation of coastal waterways with collaborators in biological science: Dr. Lisa Waidner (UWF) and Dr. Alexis Janosik (UWF); and bio-artist Sara Gevurtz (Hastings College).
